Cold work
The typical properties of tool steel are high surface hardness, toughness, tensile strength and high wear resistance. This makes tool steel ideal for cold work, in particular for the production of cutting and pressing tools, the production of smaller plastic molds requiring large abrasion resistance, pressed dies, drawing tools, thread rolling dies, etc.
